Mailbird authentication failed

Outdated Mailbird Version Issue : An outdated version of Mailbird site's proper functioning.

When Mailbird tries to actually log in to get mail I get Server authentication failed. I've tried deleted one of the less used accounts and adding it back in. Was this helpful? This failure began when Xfinity required me to change passwords a short while ago. I was wrong I think, I used ps aux grep saslauthd initially but when I ran service saslauthd status just now it says active. The other 2 accounts seemed to wotk ok as they were not the default account. Xfinity Community Forum.
